Our Striking Program consists of four different training opportunities as featured below; Bruce Lee’s Jeet Kune Do, Muay Thai / Thai Kickboxing & Boxing; JKD/Thai Crosstraining and USA Combatives. At Trident, we teach two different arts and styles as well as a special combination of the two as developed by our founder and head instructor, Navy SEAL Pat Tray. In addition, we encourage you to train in our unique “hand-to-hand” street survival class that enables you to get yourself out of dangerous situations when your life is in danger.
Jeet Kune Do-Thai Boxing Crosstraining is an effective stand up martial art and training program developed by Mr. Patrick Tray. It is a combination of the most practical techniques pulled from each of the different arts we teach at the Trident Academy and compiled in a Thai boxing/boxing training format for fitness.
Thai boxing is a striking and stand up grappling art originally from Thailand that effectively utilizes punching, kicking, and the use of knees and elbows in a structure similar to boxing. Easily learned techniques make Thai boxing great for fitness and getting in great shape to lose weight while having fun and learning a functional skill set for self defense.
Pat Tray’s USA Combatives Program
USA Combatives (USAC) was custom designed by our own Trident Academy founder, Pat Tray. USAC is the culmination of Mr. Tray’s knowledge and background; Retired Navy SEAL, Multi-Disciplined and Internationally Respected Martial Artist. His curriculum combines the most practical, easy-to-learn, yet highly effective techniques and strategies of all the arts taught at Trident Academy.
