New Belt Promotions for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Students in Woodbridge, VA
At Trident Academy of Martial Arts, our Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program is unique. As a school, we our under the legendary, Master Rigan Machado. Trident founder, Pat Tray, is a Black Belt under Rigan Machado, but also welcomes BJJ instructors from other families and lineages to share the art with our students. BJJ Black Belt, Ivan Rios is under Carlson Gracie, Jr and founder of Team Iron Dog Jiu-Jitsu. In addition, many of our students train in Sensei Erik Paulson's Combat Submission Wrestling, one of the finest curriculums to encompass any and all grappling styles into one functional system to enable and empower all practitioners.
Congratulations to everyone who recently got promoted in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. It was great to see such an awesome turnout. Our program is growing and the quality of of Jiu-Jitsu going on continues to improve.
One of the many highlights of this day was to see our teenagers reach the age of 16, the minimum age usually required before being allowed to wear the rank of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Blue Belt. Congrats to Christian Esquilin and Abby Ayala
